EFE Summer Academy Blueprint – Elevated Futures Education

ELEVATED FUTURES EDUCATION

Four-Week Summer Academy Blueprint

Clinical & Operational Blueprint

AWAKENING, EXPLORATION & FUSION

An interest-led, neuro-affirming, sensory-safe, and clinically bounded summer framework designed specifically for Key Stage 3 and Post-16 specialist cohorts.

Operational Parameters

Operational Base: London Road, London, SE1 6LN

Structure: Four-Strand Daily Carousel Rotation

Safety Window: 09:30 AM Transition Start Time

Structural Innovation

The Carousel Philosophy

Traditional summer provisions often rely on high-volume, loud group sports and static classroom sessions, which can trigger school trauma, task avoidance, and sensory overload in neurodivergent learners.

The EFE Summer Academy replaces this with a Four-Strand Carousel Rotation, pairing every outdoor excursion systematically with an indoor digital studio workshop.

01

Micro-Cohorts: Grouped into small teams (maximum of six learners per cohort) named after London transport lines or musical terms.

02

The Out-and-In Loop: Outdoor trips harvest sensory data and sounds, which are processed, edited, and transformed indoors.

Operational Roadmap

Four-Week Curricular Progression

A Structure of Safety

Operational Day Blueprint

A highly predictable daily routine designed to reduce transition fatigue, incorporating sensory-resets and off-peak public travel windows.

09:00 – 09:30

Arrival & Transition Anchor

One-to-one check-ins, physical checks, noise-cancelling headset adjustments, and personalized visual timetables. Designed with zero academic pressure.

09:30 – 11:00

Carousel Session Block 1 (Active/Out)

Outdoor trips, kinetic green exploration, or urban navigation exercises. Conducted strictly off-peak to minimize transit sensory overstimulation.

11:00 – 11:15

Sensory Reset & Hydration break

Quiet, structured time in our designated Safe Base zones, utilizing chilled water, dim lighting, and calming tactile inputs.

11:15 – 12:45

Carousel Session Block 2 (Creative/In)

Indoor studio-based digital workshops (Sonic Lab, Video Suite, Green Screen) directly applying and editing materials harvested during morning expeditions.

12:45 – 13:45

Supervised Social Lunch

Scaffolded lunch environment, supported by specialist staff modeling safe peer play, interest-led gaming sessions, and calming table conversations.

13:45 – 14:45

Daily Synthesis & Reflective Vlogs

Direct self-reflective tracking. Learners compile daily progress logs, document personal successes in digital portfolios, and complete a final calming check-out.

Regulatory Protocol

Clinical Safeguards

The “Safe Exit” Protocol

All outdoor journeys have pre-mapped safe escape routes. Staff pre-identify low-arousal environments (churchyards, library foyers, quiet parks) where an ELSA coach can assist a dysregulated learner.

Discrete Support Kits

Every student receives an EFE kit bag containing high-grade ear defenders, tinted glasses, a visual planner, and a physical travel card with decompression aids.

High Specialist Staff Ratios

We maintain a strict 1:2 staff-to-student ratio on all external expeditions, backed by continuous multi-agency synchronization with local CAMHS clinicians.

All administrative operations, medication control plans, and sensory checklists are coordinated with parents prior to academy commencement.
